Southdown is British breed-specific wool that naturally resists felting. It is a lofty wool with a dense resilient crimp. It suitable for a worsted or woolen draft with a low-medium twist to preserve its natural springiness.

Spinning Southdown with a woolen draft will create warm everyday textiles, a worsted draft will add durability and make an excellent sock yarn.
